At halftime of the national title game, the North Carolina Tar Heels held a 40-25 lead over the Kansas Jayhawks.
Eight minutes into the second half, though, the Jayhawks have fought all the way back. Kansas used a 20-6 run over a five-minute span in the second half to cut North Carolina’s lead to just one point.
If Bill Self’s team can complete the comeback, it will make history. According to one college basketball reporter, Kansas can make Final Four history by completing the biggest comeback of all time.
“The record for largest halftime deficit overcome in a championship game is 10, by Kentucky against Utah in 1998,” college basketball reporter David Worlock said.
“The record in any Final Four game is 11 by Duke over Maryland in the 2001 semifinals and by Temple over Kansas St. in the 1958 third-place game. KU was down 15 tonight.”

Kansas looks like a completely different team in the second half, attacking the basket on offense and thwarting the Tar Heels’ offense.
Can the Jayhawks pull off a massive comeback and walk away with the title?
We’ll find out soon. Tune to TBS for the rest of the second half.
