K.J. Wright’s options are shrinking, could the Raiders be a landing spot?

The Seattle Seahawks linebacker previously said it was his “dream” to go to Dallas

K.J. Wright will reportedly not reunite with one of his former defensive coordinators with the Seattle Seahawks.

Perhaps he will end up with another one of them.

Sports Illustrated reported that the Dallas Cowboys are not interested in the linebacker from Seattle. Wright had told Sports Illustrated that the Cowboys were a “dream” landing spot for him. It made sense because the new defensive coordinator in Dallas is Dan Quinn, who was formerly the defensive coordinator with the Seahawks where Wright developed into a standout player.

The report also states that the Seahawks aren’t currently highly interested in bringing back Wright, who is 31 and still playing well.

However, Wright’s market clearly has not been strong. Could that lead to the Las Vegas Raiders to look into into signing him? Of course, new Las Vegas defensive coordinator Gus Bradley coached Wright at the start of his career in Seattle as the Seahawks defensive coordinator.

The Raiders don’t necessarily have an open starting spot at linebacker, but they brought in a lot of competition at wide receiver, so why not elsewhere?

The Raiders might wait until after the draft to add a veteran like Wright, and at this point, his asking price can’t be high. So, with Dallas now off the table for Wright, perhaps an eventual pairing in Las Vegas with Bradley is possible.
