After a record-setting rookie season in 2020, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is already being talked about as one of the best in the NFL at his position.
Not surprisingly, Jefferson wants to test himself against elite competition. In an appearance on the “All Things Covered” podcast this week, the second-year star was asked which cornerback he is most looking forward to facing.
Jefferson didn’t hesitate. He’s got a Week 16 matchup with Jalen Ramsey in his sights.
“Jalen Ramsey,” Jefferson said. “I’m waiting. That game is circled. That game is circled for me.”

Ramsey, the Los Angeles Rams’ shutdown corner, was recently named the top cornerback in the NFL in an ESPN survey of league personnel. He has made the Pro Bowl four years in a row and was named first-team All-Pro in 2020.
Last month, Ramsey was asked to name the hardest wide receivers to cover. The former No. 5 overall pick cited DeAndre Hopkins, Odell Beckham Jr. and Julio Jones.
Perhaps Jefferson will crack that list after the two square off in December.
