The commencement of the 2021 NFL Draft is just hours away. There’s plenty of elite prospects in this year’s class, but just two can be considered “generational” talents, according to NFL reporter Jay Glazer.
“There’s two generational talents in this draft. Trevor Lawrence and Kyle Pitts… He’s not a tight end & not a receiver. He’s a weapon,” Glazer told Colin Cowherd on The Herd on Thursday.
Lawrence has been coined “generational” since his high school days. Pitts, meanwhile, used a strong 2020 season at Florida to skyrocket his draft value. We’ll find out this evening where both end up in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Kyle Pitts is listed as a tight end, but he’s much more. The former Florida star is a match-up nightmare. Better yet, NFL teams can line him up anywhere on the field. Some even believe he’s the best pure pass-catcher in this year’s class.
Trevor Lawrence, meanwhile, will be tonight’s No. 1 overall pick. He’ll be tasked with helping Urban Meyer turn things around with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lawrence has all the makings of being a future NFL star.
Both Pitts and Lawrence should excel in the NFL. Which other players in these year’s draft will become NFL stars? We’ll have to wait a few years to find out.
