The league is set to kick off this Saturday, Apr. 16 and its regular season will run through Jun. 19. There will be 40 total regular-season games before the playoffs start.

The playoffs will then take place at the end of June through early July with the championship game taking place on Jul. 3.

Garrett is fresh off a stint with the New York Giants when he was their offensive coordinator. He ended up getting fired during the season as the offense wasn’t performing at a high level.

Despite that, the NFL world is excited to see Garrett back in football.

Bet he will just be a clapping his hands away! #CowboysNation https://t.co/EF4xe5q0fM

I wish him the best.

Before Garrett was with the Giants, he was the head coach of the Cowboys for 10 seasons. During that time, he led them to the playoffs three times and finished with a record of 85-67.
