According to Denver Post beat writer Ryan O’Halloran, the Jaguars declined to make Meyer available to the visiting media before Sunday’s game. Under league rules, teams are permitted to turn down requests from opposing media during game weeks.
Still, as O’Halloran notes, it is rare for this to happen.
( Wonder if that’s when he’ll be visiting with USC!! #kiddingbutonlyalittle )

When a decision like this is made, the obvious question to be asked is why. Is Meyer afraid of being asked about being linked to the USC job? Is he trying to remove something from his plate as a first-year head coach coming off a double-digit loss in Week 1? Or is there another reason or reasons for this move?
Whatever it is, the fact is Meyer’s NFL tenure is off to a disastrous start. First, there was a report this weekend that Meyer is becoming “unhinged” too easily and can’t handle losing, even in the preseason.
Then, his team went out and lost again, this time when it counted against the Texans in Week 1. It’s fair at this point to wonder how long Meyer is going to last in the NFL, because he certainly doesn’t seem cut out for the gig right now.
