Just a few days ago, the Houston Texans made headlines when they finally traded star quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Houston shipped Watson to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a haul of draft picks. According to multiple reports, the team landed three first-round picks, one third-round pick and two fourth-round picks for Watson.
The team isn’t quite done making moves this offseason, though. On Tuesday afternoon, the team announced a few more roster moves – albeit not as exciting as the Watson news.
Houston announced it moved on from three players. The Texans waived offensive lineman Jake Eldrenkamp and linebacker Connor Strachan.
Perhaps the most notable move came when the team released defensive back T.J. Jones.

Jones is a former second round pick out of Clemson. Despite showing his athleticism at the collegiate level, he hasn’t been able to find a permanent home in the NFL.
He spent the first two years of his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts. Since then, he’s played for five different teams in the past four seasons.
