Harold Varner III’s debut at the Masters hasn’t been perfect, but he may have just had the shot of the day.
At the par-5 13th, Varner found himself in the pine straw for his second shot. Although he was in a really tough spot, he managed to set himself up for a very manageable eagle attempt.
Jim Nantz was in awe of Varner’s shot, saying “This is incredible!”
Varner took care of business and made his eagle putt to get to 1-over par.
Here’s the shot that golf fans can’t stop talking about:

Varner was able to sustain that positive moment by picking up a birdie on the 14th hole. He’s currently at even par, sitting four strokes behind the top of the leaderboard.
We’ll see if Varner can continue this hot streak to close out the first round of the Masters.
