Tyrrell Hatton didn’t perform well at The Masters this year and following his round, he made his opinion on Augusta National’s golf course extremely clear.
To sum things up: Hatton isn’t a fan of how unpredictable Augusta National’s golf course can be at times.
Hatton was even par in the first round, but proceeded to shoot a 73 on Friday, a 79 on Saturday and an 80 on Sunday.
“I’m glad it’s over,” Hatton said after his fourth round. “I think that’s a pretty good way to sum it up. Obviously, disappointed, but I just never do well here. This course doesn’t really suit my eye, to be honest, so, yeah, it’s just one of those weeks that I feel like if I come back in the future, it’s just a case of trying to get through the best that I can.”
Hatton was visibly frustrated throughout the tournament.
Forgive me but I couldn’t resist seeing how Tyrrell Hatton reacted to his 8 at 13 yesterday. This was after shot 6. Have the anger management classes paid off? pic.twitter.com/Rw8JgENgWi

“I have never seen a player talk like this about Augusta. I respect his guts. I’ll say that much,” Dan Rapoport tweeted.

Golf fans aren’t very understanding of Hatton.
“Mmmm, Sheffler hit fantastic chip shots all week and finished close to the hole on the majority of them. Oh, and he won. Oh, he missed most of the greens on the front 9 today and shot under par. Pretty sure it’s not the course, Tyrrell,” one fan tweeted.
“He sounds like every golfer I’ve ever met. Never my fault. Greens were too fast. Greens were too slow. Pins in the wrong positions. Bunkers weren’t raked. Too hot today. Too cold today. Very windy. Rough is too thick. Mud on the ball. Sun in my eyes. Someone coughed behind me,” another fan added.
Perhaps Hatton will have a better time at the PGA Championship or The Open Championship later this year.
