Jordan Spieth’s wife, Annie, typically refrains from giving golf advice to her husband. However, she shouldn’t help but give him a tip following his performance at RBC Heritage over the weekend.
Annie wants Jordan to start taking his time with gimme putts.
“You need to take five seconds, if you miss a putt, before you hit your tap-in,” she told him.
Jordan Spieth said that his wife Annie never comments on his golf — until she gave him some advice last night:
“You need to take five seconds, if you miss a putt, before you hit your tap-in.”
“So I thought about that today,” he said.

“So I thought about that today,” Jordan added.
This all stems from Spieth’s massive blunder at RBC Heritage. He missed an 18-foot tap-in on No. 18.
It happens to the best of us.

Jordan would be one wise man to listen to his wife. We all would.
“Always listen to your wife. She’ll never steer you wrong.”

“After missing an 18-inch putt on the final hole of Saturday’s round, Spieth found himself trailing the leaders by three strokes. His wife, Annie, provided him with some sage advice that would come in handy Sunday.”

“Received some advice from a retired Navy vet of 30+ years I met in Hawaii while we were expecting our first child, who said succinctly, ‘Always trust your wife. She never gonna let you fail.’ Jordan reaping that reward. He could have won without a playoff!”

Jordan will never rush into a tap-in putt again. If he does, Annie will surely come calling.
