Las Vegas adds quality linebacker
The Las Vegas Raiders signed linebacker Germaine Pratt as a free agent recently.
Let’s take a closer look at Pratt:
Size:
6-3, 250 pounds.
NFL experience:
Pratt is entering his seventh NFL season. He spent the first six seasons of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals. Pratt is a strong run stuffer and he had a combined 261 tackles in the past two seasons. He had a career-high 143 tackles in 2024 and he was a Bengals’ team captain. Pratt has started 88 career games and he has been pretty durable.
College:
He went to North Carolina State and the Bengals drafted him in the third round in 2019.
Raiders ties:
Pratt was college teammates with Raiders’ wide receiver Jakobi Meyers and punter A.J. Cole.
Raiders’ memory:
It’s a great one for the Silver and Black. Pratt intercepted a Derek Carr pass near the goal line with seconds o go in a 2021 season playoff game to seal the win for Cincinnati, which advanced all the way to the Super Bowl.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
The Raiders have totally remade their linebacker group and, in my opinion, Pratt becomes the team’s best linebacker. He should start on he weakside.
