Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide are losing a highly-touted wide receiver to the transfer portal.
Agiye Hall, a four-star recruit from the 2021 class, is reportedly entering the portal. The writing was on the wall here.
Some investigative work by a 247Sports reporter found Hall was no longer listed on Alabama’s official online roster. However, Hall responded to the report on Twitter and said, “News to me.”
Then on Wednesday Saban announced Hall is suspended for a violation of team rules.
“Whether they’re academic or whatever, it doesn’t matter,” Saban said, via ESPN.com. “Everyone has a responsibility and obligation to respect the principles and values and do what they need to do. They’re all there to help them be successful.
“I don’t know what his plans are for the future.”
It appears Agiye Hall knows exactly what his future plans are, and they don’t include playing another snap for the Crimson Tide.
Hall has entered the transfer portal, per Matt Zenitz of On3.

This is a significant loss for the Crimson Tide, no matter how you spin it.
Alabama lost its top three targets – Jameson Williams, John Metchie III and Slade Bolden – from last season’s team to the NFL Draft. Hall was supposed to be a first-teamer for the Crimson Tide this upcoming season.
Saban will no doubt find a replacement this offseason. Hall, meanwhile, is heading elsewhere.
