An instant review of Week 6

Sunday was about healing for the Las Vegas Raiders. The players couldn’t wait to get back onto the field after the stunning departure of coach Jon Gruden six days ago — and it showed.

The Raiders, under the leadership of interim coach Rich Bisaccia, put on a complete clinic against the Denver Broncos. to head back to Las Vegas with a 34-24 win.

Let’s take a quick look at the game:

Records: The Raiders are 4-2. The Broncos are 3-3.

What it means:
The Raiders are back on track after losing two straight games. They are also back in joint first place in the AFC West. The Los Angeles Chargers got boat raced by the Baltimore Ravens and they are both 4-2 atop of the division, while the Kansas City Chiefs and the Broncos sit at 3-3.

Turning point:
The Raiders took control of the game late in the first half with a quick, long touchdown drive culminating on a touchdown pass from quarterback Derek Carr to backup running Kenyan Drake, which gave the Raiders some separation and a 17-7 lead at halftime. Then, Las Vegas had another nice drive on its first drive of the third quarter to take a 24-7 lead on another Drake score, this time on a run.

Injury report:
Las Vegas linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski suffered a foot injury in the second quarter. Cornerback Brandon Facyson, who made some plays in his first Raiders’ action, went to the locker room in the third quarter. Safety Roderic Teamer left the game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury,

What’s next:
The Raiders host the 2-4 Philadelphia Eagles at Allegiant Stadium next Sunday in yet another winnable game. Kickoff is at 1:05 p.m. PT.
