Before the national championship game between Kansas and North Carolina tipped off, Imagine Dragons held a pregame concert that aired on TBS.
Sports fans wasted no time going on Twitter to share their thoughts on Imagine Dragons’ performance. Let’s just say most college basketball fans would’ve rather seen extended coverage of the national title game on TV.
“Please stop trying to make the Imagine Dragons a thing in 2022. Leave them in 2013 where they belong,” one fan said.
“It’s not a National Championship/Final 4 until you get an Imagine Dragons performance no one asked for,” another fan tweeted.

Imagine Dragons is no stranger to performing at major sporting events.
Over the past decade, Imagine Dragons has performed for the College Football Playoff, Final Four, 2014 NBA season opener, Stanley Cup Final and Sugar Bowl.
At this point, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Imagine Dragons perform a live show during the 2022 college football season.
