There’s not much out there
Earlier in the offseason, there was media speculation that the Las Vegas Raiders could add another veteran running back to their group that will be led by first-round pick, Ashton Jeanty.
There was talk the Raiders could pursue free agents Nick Chubb and J.K. Dobbins. Yet, in June, Chubb departed the Cleveland Browns to go to the Houston Texans, while Dobbins stayed in the AFC West, joining the Denver Broncos after leaving the Los Angeles Chargers.
After Chubb and Dobbins left the market, it as pretty thin, There’s Gus Edwards, Jamal Williams, Ezekiel Elliott, Nyheim Hines and Raiders’ free agent Ameer Abdullah among the available players at the position.
Understandably, Raiders fans were not impressed the remaining running back free-agent class. We asked our community members if they thought they Raiders should still add at the position. The results were loud and clear as 82 percent of the voters didn’t feel like it was worth adding a veteran, while 18 percent was still interested.
I get it and agree with the majority of the voters.
In addition to Jeanty, the Raiders have Raheem Mostert and other other backups including Sincere McCormick, Zamir White and Dylan Laube. Let’s roll with it.
