Just a week ago, the Minnesota Vikings reportedly came to an agreement with former pass rusher Everson Griffen.
Multiple reports suggested Griffen and the Vikings were in communication for two years about a potential reunion. While the two sides are back together, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows.
Griffen made it clear he plans to apologize to Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.
“I’m just going to talk to Kirk and apologize to him and have a man-to-man conversation and we’re going to leave it like that,” Griffen said, via Vikings reporter Chris Tomasson.

Earlier this offseason, the pass rusher said some unsavory things about Cousins on social media. In a Twitter thread he later deleted, Griffen said that “Kirk Cousins is ass” and told people to “Ask [Mike] ZIMMER if he wanted Kirk?????”
It didn’t take long fo Griffen to apologize initially for his comments.
“I’m sorry for posting that about Kirk,” he said just a few hours later. “It’s not right for me to call people out. I apologize for hurting him. I’m very grateful and thankful.”
While he made that public apology, he obviously still wants to clear things up with Cousins face-to-face.
Can Cousins and Griffen get along this season?
