ESPN has made a decision on longtime employee Sam Ponder.

Per a report, ESPN has re-signed Sam Ponder to a seven-figure, three-year deal.

Ponder will reportedly make a total of a little more than $3 million over the next three years.

The 36-year-old will continue her work on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown and provide extra coverage for the NFL Draft.

“NEWSLETTER+: ESPN re-signs Sam Ponder for NFL Countdown in 7 figure deal, The Post has learned,” Andrew Marchand tweets.

This is significant news in the sports media world. Sam Ponder is fantastic and Sunday NFL Countdown is as good as it gets on ESPN.

Ponder may also start seeing an increase in responsibilities leading up to the 2022 NFL Draft. Her recent comment on Liberty quarterback Malik Willis, who could end up being the first quarterback taken off the board next month, is making the rounds on Twitter.

“After spending the last 2 days with and around Malik, I know 1 thing for sure…” Ponder tweeted. “His NFL teammates/fans will absolutely LOVE him.”

ESPN is running it back with Sam Ponder. It’s also ushering in a whole new lineup for Monday Night Football.

The Worldwide Leader poached both Joe Buck and Troy Aikman from FOX. The two will now turn their attention to Monday Night Football. It’s the best broadcast booth ESPN has had in years.

Ponder, meanwhile, will continue her work on Sunday NFL Countdown. She’s on-contract with ESPN for the next three years.
