With by far the most talented roster in the MLB, the Los Angeles Dodgers have some sky-high expectations for the 2022 season.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts believes his team will live up to those expectations — giving a World Series guarantee before next month’s Opening Day.
“We’re winning the World Series this year. Put it on record,” he said, per AM 570 LA Sports. “That’s our focus. That’s our goal.”

The Dodgers were already World Series favorites before heading into free agency this offseason. But with the signing of 2020 league MVP Freddie Freeman, those odds continue to skyrocket.
Between nine potential Opening Day starters on the LA roster, the lineup holds 19 total All-Star selections and three league MVP trophies.
- Mookie Betts – RF
- Trea Turner – SS
- Freddie Freeman – 1B
- Will Smith – C
- Max Muncy – DH
- Justin Turner – 3B
- Cody Bellinger – CF
- Chris Taylor – 2B
- AJ Pollock – LF
Of course the ultimate goal for a star-studded roster like this is always a World Series title, but this is no doubt a bold statement from Roberts.
The Dodgers will look to back their manager’s words as they kickoff their 2022 season with a series against the Colorado Rockies on Friday, April 8.
