On Friday afternoon, the Cleveland Browns introduced star quarterback Deshaun Watson just a week after trading for him.
Most of the “introduction” was an open-forum question and answer session with Watson, general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski. Reporters asked the trio a series of questions, though Watson was the main subject.
During the press conference a reporter asked Watson if he has any regrets about the situation he finds himself in. The star quarterback then opened up on his immediate reaction to hearing the allegations from over 20 different women.
“I don’t have any regrets,” Watson said, via Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer. “The things that came up caught me by surprise, like I said, because I didn’t do the things people are alleging.”

22 different women – all massage therapists – alleged sexual misconduct against the former first-round pick. Two different grand juries decided not to indict Watson, which means he won’t be going to a criminal trial.
However, there is still a civil lawsuit facing Watson. It’s unclear when that will be concluded, but Watson made it clear he doesn’t plan to settle. During the press conference on Friday, Watson said he wants to “clear” his name.
