We are in the endgame for the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes.
Watson has removed the Carolina Panthers from the list of teams that he would waive his no-trade clause for. That means it’s down to the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons.
The #Panthers have been informed they are out on a potential trade for #Texans QB Deshaun Watson, per me and @TomPelissero.
That leaves the #Falcons and #Saints.

Both of these teams have met with Watson twice and are now awaiting his decision.
If the Falcons land Watson, that would spell the end of Matt Ryan’s tenure there. He’d have to be traded to a team that doesn’t have a starting quarterback (Seahawks, Colts, Browns if Baker Mayfield is dealt).
Whoever Watson picks is going to have to give up at least three first-round picks and a whole lot more. That’s been the asking price since Houston opened up these trade talks.
The Panthers are the second team that Watson has ruled out thus far. On Thursday afternoon, he also let the Browns know that they weren’t going to get him.
A decision is expected at any time, though Watson may take the weekend before letting both teams know.
