No one ever said the NFL offseason was boring. For those who wanted a little extra NFL news, Thursday night delivered in a big way.
The Green Bay Packers made the shocking decision to trade star wide receiver Davante Adams. The two sides have been going back and forth on contract talks dating back to last offseason.
However, it was clear Adams and the Packers were not going to come to a deal. With that in mind, they decided to ship the star wideout to the Las Vegas Raiders for a first and second-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft.
Not long after the trade news was announced, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had a message for his former college teammate. It seems like he’s pretty happy to have Adams back on his team.
“Welcome home,” Carr said to his former teammate.
Welcome home @tae15adams 🏴☠️

Just under a year ago, the Packers wide receiver made it clear he would love to play alongside Carr at some point during his career. “It would be a dream to play with him (Carr),” Adams told ABC30’s Bri Mellon in an interview last summer.
Well, that time has come.
