Fans have moved on

Over the years, fans of the Raiders have had to deal with a lot of player who came to the franchise with huge expectations and excitement. Yet, their tenure with the Silver and Black didn’t work out as expected for one reason or another.

Star wide receiver Davante Adams is the latest example of that.

The Las Vegas Raiders gave up two first-round picks for him in 2022 in a trade with the Green Bay Packers. He started off well with the Raiders. Yet, Adams often complained and was unhappy the team parted ways with his colelge teammate and close friend Derek Carr.

In the end, Adams was traded to the New York Jets in October, 2024 after basically quitting on the team. The Raiders ended up using that draft pick in the Adams trade to get new starting quarterback Geno Smith.

We asked Raiders fans how they feel about Adams now.

Here are some of your responses:

I really like him but he became a Diva! I’m really disappointed in him! But I’m going to keep his Jersey. He’s gonna be a HOF one day. JUST! WIN! BABY!

Well I mean lots of ppl was talking trash about him but he did get done rather dirty by McDaniels and AP. More McDaniels since he was the one who got rid of Carr and then thought Jimmy was a viable solution. I don’t harbor any bad will to him for leaving to go play with his other buddy but I did find it funny how the grass really wasn’t all that much greener in Jets land this past season.

When he left, he got dissed but between the Jets fiasco and our offseason, I think people have forgotten him. He never never should have been brought in despite how excited we were at the time. Would we take him today at his price when we have weapons at TE, RB and QB again? No. Going all in on the offense was something fans would want but a coach and GM should know better.
