After eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers, superstar wide receiver Davante Adams is heading to Las Vegas for the 2022 NFL season.
This past weekend, the Raiders landed Adams in a blockbuster trade that sent a 2022 first-round pick (22nd overall) and 2022 second-round pick (53rd overall) to Green Bay.
Given Adams’ success with the Packers and his tight-knit relationship with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, many fans and analysts were surprised by his decision to waive his no-trade clause leave the organization that drafted him with a second-round pick in 2014.
On Tuesday, Adams revealed what went into his decision to head to Las Vegas.
“I have a lot of family in California that’s never been to see me play before. … Just kind of reflecting and thinking about life things and stuff that really matters in this world, that’s stuff that matters to me,” he said, per NFL insider Nick Shook.

There’s also 140 million other reasons why Adams agreed on a trade to Las Vegas. Signing a five-year, $140 million contract with the Raiders, the two-time All-Pro wide receiver is now the highest-paid wideout in the NFL.
