The father of Clemson Tigers true freshman quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei went viral in the stands at Notre Dame on Saturday night.
D.J. Uiagalelei, making his second career college football start, was unable to lead Clemson to a win at Notre Dame. The Tigers lost to the Fighting Irish in double overtime. It was a pretty insane game in South Bend, Indiana.
The true freshman quarterback had a spectacular performance, throwing for 439 yards and two touchdowns. He broke the record for most passing yards in a game against a Fighting Irish defense. And he’s just a freshman making his second career start.
It’s easy to see where D.J. Uiagalelei gets his big-time genes from. The father of the Clemson Tigers quarterback, known as “Big Dave,” went viral in the stands at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday night. He’s a massive dude.

Dave Uiagalelei is 6-4 and 380 pounds. He was very easy to spot in the stands at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday evening. That’s not the first time that has happened, either.

Big Dave will probably have less to cheer about moving forward, as Trevor Lawrence is expected to return under center next week.
The 2021 season should be the Uiagalelei show at Clemson, though. That should be pretty fun to watch for multiple reasons.
