In a stunning turn of events, soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is heading to the Premier League. But he’s not going to Manchester City.
On Friday, Manchester United announced that Cristiano Ronaldo has joined the club. The Premier League titans confirmed that have reached an agreement with Ronaldo’s now-former club Juventus, pending personal terms.
“Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical,” the club said in a statement.
The announcement went viral immediately, garnering over 350,000 likes and 250,000 shares in less than 10 minutes. It’s not hard to understand why.

Cristiano Ronaldo broke out into the soccer world on the global stage with Manchester United between 2003 and 2009. He helped lead the club to three Premier League titles and a Champions League crown under Sir Alex Ferguson.
In 2009, Ronaldo joined Real Madrid via a transfer and soon became a global icon.
After nine years with Los Blancos, Ronaldo went to Juventus in 2018. But he struggled to find as much success in Italy as he had in with Man United or Real Madrid. And in recent days, he made it clear that he intended to leave the Serie A giants.
Ronaldo now rejoins the club that signed him as a teenager, and reunites with Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, his former teammate.
This has already been an incredible transfer period, which saw Lionel Messi join Paris Saint-Germain a few weeks ago.
And it’s not over yet…
