Fans express their concerns about upcoming season

The offseason workout programs and practice sessions are complete and there is still a little more than a month to before training camp start.

So, there’s a lot of time to sit around and ponder about the upcoming 2025 Las Vegas Raiders’ NFL regular-season. So, with that in mind, it was the focus of our Tuesday Community Question this week, the first after the offseason sessions ended. We asked our community questions, what makes them nervous about this team at the moment?

We had a lot of interesting answers, some focused on injuries and others just about the unknown going into a new season with another new regime, which is all understandable.

Not exactly nervous about this, but I do wonder who is the real leader of this team among the players? Who besides Maxx is going to step up to give the locker room speech, to walk the sidelines firing everybody up, to set the tone? Geno’s not exactly that guy… I know Pete does a lot of this, but it needs to come from players too.

Besides injuries?

1. Defense – getting off the field on 3rd down (effectiveness of the secondary)

2. Offense – moving the chains on 3rd down, scoring TDs in the red zone.

Based on our team’s breathtakingly dysfunctional performance of the last 20+ years, I’m worried about everything.

It’s going to take consistently good to excellent franchise performance from the front office to the field, over many games, to prove we are not only turning a corner but accelerating to the goal of long term excellence.

The pathetic nature of this once awesome and feared team has gone on far too long.

A lot of new and young pieces that might need a little time to gel.

If the issue with Wilkins causes him to miss games or be less than 100%, then it’s the interior defensive line. There’s not a lot of proven depth there. I like Butler as a rotational guy that can bring the situational pass rush. I don’t like him nearly as much as an every down player that needs to stop the run.

Not nervous at all…Want to talk about nervous???…Then go watch film from the last 23 years!…Raider Nation has been screaming from the roof tops for the right changes to be made from ownership, to GM, to Coaches and the talent on the field…The structure of the Raiders organization looks better than ever minus the 70’s and early 80’s!!!…Let’s get it on!…Time to ComPete!!!
