Eli Cramer, a track star for Milligan University, was struck by a car and killed while running in Virginia on Thursday.
He was 20 years old.
Five members of the Milligan cross country team were running along Williamsburg Pottery Road yesterday evening when three of them were hit by a Scion, per a statement from the Virginia State Police acquired by TMZ Sports.
Jose Efrain Hernandez Mancia, the driver of the vehicle, allegedly attempted to flee the scene before crashing into a median on Route 199. He was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The injured members of the Milligan team were transported to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. The other two athletes who were struck by the vehicle sustained minor to serious injuries.
Alex Mortimer, one of the injured athletes, released a video from the hospital saying he suffered a broken leg and a dislocated shoulder.
