Some college football programs had pretty massive crowds on hand for their annual spring games this year.
Spring football season is wrapping up, with programs across the country finishing practice and holding their annual spring games.
A couple of major college football programs did the spring game bigger than the rest, though. The top five attended spring games of 2022 were:
- Oklahoma, 75,000
- Georgia, 68,000
- Ohio State, 60,000
- Nebraska, 54,000
- Florida, 45,000
Well done to those five schools.
Oklahoma posts the largest spring crowd of 2022:
75k – Oklahoma
68k – Georgia
60k – Ohio State
54k – Nebraska
45k – Florida https://t.co/RJ7CTVakfF— Pick Six Previews (@PickSixPreviews) April 23, 2022
“Congrats on being literally the only thing to do in Oklahoma,” a Texas fan tweeted.
“What’s there to do in Austin that you can’t do in Norman? Lose to Kansas?” an Oklahoma fan replied.
Not everyone had big crowds, though…

Nebraska is well inside the top five, but the Huskers usually draw an even bigger crowd for their spring games.
This is I think the lowest Nebraska has had in years. It usually looks like this: pic.twitter.com/MJEe6v5F7G

Penn State should be on the list now, as well. The Nittany Lions reportedly had more than 60,000 fans in attendance for their annual Blue-White Game.
Penn State announced 62,000 on Saturday. So adding to this – the B1G currently would have 3 of the Top 5 most-attended spring games in 2022 https://t.co/nO4hNk3DZu
