If Scott Frost is out at Nebraska, who will be in?
The Huskers are one loss into Year 4 of the Frost era. Nebraska is now 12-21 since Frost took over. At this point, it’s unclear if there will be a fifth year.
It’s pretty early in the season to be talking about potential coaching replacements, though it’s unsurprising that Nebraska fans are doing it.
A message board post from some Huskers fans is going viral on social media.

Luke Fickell might be the top option. The former Ohio State player decided to stay at Cincinnati this past offseason. However, the Huskers job might be appealing enough to leave.
Nebraska boosters googling Mark Stoops, Luke Fickell, and Matt Campbell right now.

Texas fans, meanwhile, are suggesting that Nebraska could be a landing spot for Herman.

There’s still plenty of season left, of course.
Frost, though, desperately needs to turn things around in the coming weeks. The Huskers have two very winnable games coming up in Fordham and Buffalo.
Then, Nebraska has to travel to Oklahoma. That’s almost surely a loss, but the Huskers could be 2-2 heading into more Big Ten play, which would be an OK enough start.
It will surely be fascinating to watch Nebraska moving forward.
