Earlier this week, the college basketball world received unfortunate news about Jay Wright’s outfit choice for the Final Four.
A report emerged saying Wright did NOT pack a suit for the Final Four. The Villanova head coach is generally one of the more sharp-dressed coaches in college basketball.
Unfortunately, that means fans will miss out on Wright’s elegant suits. Not all fans are taking it that well.
“For the most part I am on board with the fact that basketball coaches can dress casual now but I can’t believe Jay Wright no longer wears suits,” sports reporter Rodger Sherman said. “Look at what they took from us.”
The tweet showed a series of photos with Wright looking slick in his suits. Fans then weighed in on the loss.
“I’m happy coaches get to dress like they work in athletics, but I weep for the death of the dapper suits,” said one fan.

Others suggested everyone started wearing more casual outfits during the pandemic.
“We have all gotten more casual at work in the pandemic,” another fan said.

While fans are lamenting the loss of Jay Wright’s suits, he’s more focused on taking down the Kansas Jayhawks.
Kansas leads Villanova 50-42 in the second half.
