Colin Kaepernick continued his comeback efforts Wednesday by working out with Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Aaron Fuller and University of Washington running back Kamari Pleasant.
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has also thrown to Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett, who said Kaepernick “is ready” for another NFL opportunity.
Following his latest workout in Seattle, Kaepernick discussed the possibility of earning a formal opportunity with the Seahawks.
Per Alan Reed of KING 5 Sports, Kaepernick said he hasn’t received a workout invitation, but he’s had conversations with Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider.
“Not yet. Still waiting for that chance. Still hopeful,” Kaepernick said. “We’ve had conversations with Pete and John previously. As Pete mentioned, we’ve spoken recently. Still hoping that door is open and get a chance to walk through it.”

Some fans hope to see Kaepernick get a chance to play an NFL down for the first time since 2016. The Seahawks could certainly use another signal-caller after trading Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos.
Yessir!! Pete make it happen! https://t.co/K0O64xvoxy

Not everyone can envision an NFL team welcoming back Kaepernick, who drew national attention for protesting police brutality six years ago.
They won’t do it, because all he has to do is come in and be better than a QB exactly like Drew Lock and it makes it plain what a joke the past five years have been for the league. https://t.co/7qOgkXgnOf

It may still seem like a longshot, but plenty of strange things have already happened this offseason.
Colin Kaepernick getting signed would be the cherry on top for the craziest off season of all time https://t.co/BC3UoUaqvo

Kaepernick’s private trainer, David Robinson, told TMZ Sports that a few teams have reach out to inquire about the 34-year-old quarterback. Last week, Carroll told reporters that he thinks Kaepernick deserves a second shot, but wouldn’t commit to the Seahawks giving him that opportunity.
