Colin Kaepernick hasn’t thrown a pass in the NFL since 2016. Since taking a knee, pregame, in protest of systemic, racial and ethnic inequality; opportunities for Kaepernick to return to the league that he once helped a carry a team to a Super Bowl in, have been few and far between.
If they ever really existed at all.
Now at age 34, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll thinks it’s time for the QB to finally get a second chance.
Per the Seattle Times Bob Condotta, “Carroll says Colin Kaepernick contacted him recently. Carroll says he deserves a second chance but says he doesn’t know if that’s in Seattle. Just notes that ‘it’s second chance time” in the NFL.”

Perhaps the Seahawks HC was swayed by the opinion of Tyler Lockett, who worked out with Kaepernick recently and had nothing but praise for his quarterback ability.
Fans across social media reacted to Carroll’s comments Wednesday.
“Interesting..” replied Josina Anderson.

“Translation: ‘He deserves a second chance as long as I don’t have to be the one to give it to him,’” commented YouTuber Jake Ellenbogen.

At this point, you wonder if it’s too little, too late for one of the more dynamic QB talents of the 2010’s.
