The Indianapolis Colts are trying to find their next starting quarterback. Colin Cowherd thinks the decision should be easy.
On Saturday, Cowherd took to Twitter to say he thinks San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo would be a “great fit” for the Colts.
Why Jimmy G? It starts with his experience in pressure games, specifically in the postseason. Carson Wentz was at his worst when the Colts needed him most last season. Garoppolo, meanwhile, has a tendency to play well in big games.
The veteran quarterback has also been coached by Bill Belichick and Kyle Shanahan. There’s plenty of invaluable lessons he’s probably learned in past years.
People bag on Jimmy G but two things I like 1.) Due to his division and playoff runs — he’s been in dozens of pressure games. 2.) Due to Shanahan & Belichick he’s been coached hard. Feels like great fit w @Colts

Jimmy Garoppolo is one of the better options out there for the Indianapolis Colts. Baker Mayfield, Marcus Mariota and Gardner Minshew are the other obvious options.
The nice thing about Garoppolo is he doesn’t bring a whole lot of drama with him. Sure, he has his limitations, but he’s a proven winner.
The Colts are built to succeed next season. A quarterback like Garoppolo could get them to the playoffs.
Should the Colts contact the 49ers to acquire Jimmy Garoppolo in a trade?
