Right now, the Indianapolis Colts don’t have a starting quarterback for the 2022 season. That could change in a hurry if they take Colin Cowherd’s suggestion to heart.
Cowherd thinks the Colts should try and acquire Jimmy Garoppolo in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers.
“People bag on Jimmy G but two things I like 1.) Due to his division and playoff runs — he’s been in dozens of pressure games. 2.) Due to Shanahan & Belichick he’s been coached hard. Feels like great fit w @Colts,” Cowherd tweeted on Saturday.

Cowherd’s suggestion for the Colts has the rest of the NFL world talking:
“Agreed on both points. He definitely does not have issues with Discipline so he has that over Baker. Issue i have with him is that I have seen him crumble under pressure as well and miss to many wide open game changing throws. That worries me,” one fan tweeted.
“How has he performed in those big pressure games though? Whoever trades for Jimmy is trading for Jimmy alone, he can’t bring any of what he had in SF with him as far as help…He’s been borderline terrible in the playoffs with the 9ers…He’s been along for the ride, but that’s it,” a fan said.
“Jimmy helped turn around the #49ers & his winning % is better than Mayfield, Wentz & Trubisky. Jimmy might not be as physically gifted as the 3 I mentioned but he’s a better QB. I’d rather have a physically limited QB than a QB who limits my teams chances of winning,” one fan wrote.
Jimmy Garoppolo took the 49ers to two NFC Championships and one Super Bowl in three years. He could probably take the Colts to the playoffs next season.
Should Indianapolis trade for Jimmy Garoppolo this offseason?
