The latest episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks featured a mind-boggling presentation of the Dallas Cowboys’ larger-than-life training facilities.
A drone flew throughout the 91-acre compound known as “The Star,” showing off the team’s luxury campus in Frisco, TX — featuring multiple practice fields, top-notch gyms, an on-site hotel, shopping center and world-class locker rooms.
This drone tour of the Cowboys’ facilities is INSANE. 😱🎥💫

From the outside looking in, this everything-bigger-in-Texas vision from multi-billionaire owner Jerry Jones seems like it should help the franchise reach new heights as a football team. But, Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd believes these facilities may be having the opposite effect on the franchise.
“It was a palace. I’ve never seen anything like it,” Cowherd said on Wednesday. “And then I thought, ‘Yeah, I have.’ It’s called a country club.
“This is why the Cowboys are a soft football organization.”
The Herd w/ Colin Cowherd host feels this lavish lifestyle has caused the Cowboys organization to lose its edge.
“The Dallas Cowboys are trust fund kids. They’ve never stayed at anything that’s not a Ritz Carlton,” he added.

Cowherd also said this lavish mentality has led the franchise to overpay for “good” but “not great” players.
The Cowboys are 0-3 so far through their preseason schedule. They’ll face the Jacksonville Jaguars in their fourth and final preseason matchup this Sunday.
