A Michigan man found himselg being sent to play football in Ohio on Tuesday.
Per NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero, the New England Patriots traded edge rusher Chase Winovich to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for Browns linebacker Mack Wilson.
After learning of the trade, Winovich took to his Twitter with a two-word response: “Let’s go.”
Let’s go.

Winovich is entering his fourth NFL season after being drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 2019 draft. The former Wolverine played in just 13 games last season after starting nine and playing in 16 during the 2020 season.
In his three years in New England, Winovich tallied 11 sacks, all of which were split between his rookie and sophomore season.
I am so grateful for my experience in New England.
The love, spirit, and support have been absolutely unreal.
This entire region will always hold the most special of places in my heart.
The time is now for the next chapter of my journey.

Winovich should add some pass rushing depth to a team that figure to lose Jadeveon Clowney in free agency. He’s also entering the final year of his rookie deal, so he’ll be an expiring contract going into next season.
The Browns have made a number of moves this offseason, including the trade for Cowboys WR Amari Cooper and the release of five-time Pro Bowler Jarvis Landry.
