It’s been quite an eventful offseason for new Denver Broncos edge rusher Randy Gregory.
Gregory appeared to be a lock to re-sign with the Dallas Cowboys earlier this year. He even agreed to terms on a new contract. However, a new team swooped in at the last minute.
The standout defensive lineman spurned the Cowboys for the Broncos. It’s one of the most stunning decisions this offseason.
That’s not all Gregory has been through this year. Per Broncos insider Mike Klis, Gregory underwent shoulder surgery recently. Denver was aware of the issue before he signed.
“Randy Gregory, the Broncos’ newly acquired $14 million-a-year pass rusher, recently underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his rotator cuff, a source told 9NEWS,” Klis reports via 9news.com.

The good news is that Randy Gregory will reportedly be healthy in time for the 2022 season. He’ll spend the majority of the offseason rehabbing his shoulder.
Gregory had other options than surgery. But in the end he and the Broncos decided to move ahead with the scope procedure to address the matter now as opposed to later.
Gregory should prove to be a key piece of a Denver defense that’ll be essential to the team’s success this season. The AFC West has no shortage of elite offenses. The Broncos defense will have its hands full.
