Over the weekend, NASCAR star Bubba Wallace suffered an embarrassing accident on the track.
Wallace lost a wheel in turn 16 at the Circuit of the America’s race on Sunday. Unfortunately for Wallace and his team, that’s not the last of the story from this weekend’s race.
Losing a tire and crashing isn’t the only punishment Wallce and his team will receive. The loss of a tire will also result in a four-race suspension for several members of Wallace’s team.
“As expected, Bubba Wallace crew chief Bootie Barker, jackman Caleb Dirks and rear tire changer Adam Riley suspended for the next four races because of the wheel coming off at COTA,” racing reporter Bob Pockrass said.

Following the race on Sunday, Wallace tried to play off the accident. “All ya can do is laugh. Ha,” he tweeted.
Wallace will be operating with a few new team members over the next few races.
