Kris Bryant isn’t re-signing with the San Francisco Giants, but the All-Star slugger will remain in the NL West.
According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Colorado Rockies are signing Bryant. Earlier this week, he reported that Colorado was “aggressively pursuing” the former World Series champion.
“Rockies are aggressively pursuing Kris Bryant,” Heyman tweeted. “Talks are at ownership level.”
As for the terms of this contract, ESPN’s Jeff Passan said it’s a seven-year deal worth $182 million.
Breaking: Kris Bryant to Rockies

Bryant, a former MVP and Rookie of the Year, has spent the majority of his career with the Chicago Cubs. He was dealt to the Giants prior to last season’s trade deadline.
Colorado had interest in Bryant prior to the lockout. We’d imagine the team’s front office is pleased it was able to get a deal done before Opening Day.
Bryant’s swing should be a perfect fit for Coors Field, where we’ve seen several sluggers thrive in the past. He’ll enter this season with 167 career home runs and 487 RBI.
Do you think Kris Bryant will shine with the Rockies?
