The Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies have reportedly agreed to a significant guard-focused trade on Sunday evening.
According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Clippers are acquiring veteran NBA point guard Eric Bledsoe.
In return, the Clippers are sending the Grizzlies multiple players, including longtime defensive stalwart Patrick Beverley. Here are the full details, from Wojnarowski.
“The Los Angeles Clippers are trading Patrick Beverley, Rajon Rondo and Daniel Oturu to the Memphis Grizzlies for guard Eric Bledsoe,” Wojnarowski reports.

The NBA world isn’t exactly sure what to make of this one. Bledsoe is probably an upgrade over the Clippers’ previous point guard, but likely not a significant one.
Still, this is a trade that could work out for both sides.
“The Grizzlies, with an already packed roster, are open-minded on the futures of all three players in Memphis — and will likely consider trades with some of those arriving in this deal. Memphis gets salary cap flexibility in the summer of 2022 with trade,” Wojnarowski added.
The Clippers are coming off a Western Conference Finals loss to the Phoenix Suns.
