The last time the Steelers and Chiefs met, it wasn’t pretty. Kansas City pitched a 30-point shutout until the final minutes of fourth. So needless to say, very few are giving Ben Roethlisberger and the 9-7-1 Steelers a chance this weekend.
Speaking on what could be his last NFL game, Roethlisberger shared his mindset headed into Sunday night: “Let’s just go have some fun.”

Pittsburgh narrowly extended Big Ben‘s career by pulling out an overtime win over the Ravens in Week 18. Followed by a last second Raiders win in primetime that was seemingly destined to end in a tie.
Now the Steelers are headed to Kansas City to take on the defending AFC champions led by Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.
While it’s going to be tough sledding in KC, Roethlisberger knows what it’s like to reach the pinnacle from unlikely odds.

Back in 2005, Ben helped quarterback the Wild Card Steelers past the Cincinnati Bengals, Peyton Manning-led Colts, Denver Broncos and eventually the Seahawks powered by 1,800-yard rusher Shaun Alexander. On the way to the first of his two Super Bowl championships.
Roethlisberger and Steelers enter as double-digit underdogs Sunday, but some believe there are chinks in the Chiefs’ 2021 armor.
Perhaps Big Ben has just enough left for one last playoff ride. Perhaps, it ends Sunday.
