Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has revealed what his message would be to Steeler fans as he prepares to play his likely last game.
The Steelers need a win against the Ravens, plus a Jaguars win against the Colts to all but assure themselves of a playoff spot. It would be official if the Chargers-Raiders game doesn’t end in a tie on Sunday night.
On Sunday afternoon, former Steeler head coach Bill Cowher sat down with Roethlisberger and asked him to put into words what Steeler fans have meant to him.
“If I tried to put it into words, I would say ‘I love you.’ I would say ‘thank you.’ I feel so blessed. It’s just an honor for them to call me their QB for 18 years,” Roethlisberger said.

It will be poetic for Roethlisberger to end his career where it all started. On Sept. 19, 2004, Tommy Maddox got hurt in Baltimore which allowed Roethlisberger to enter the game.
He ended up playing the rest of that game and losing while leading the Steelers to a 15-1 record the rest of that season. From then on, Roethlisberger has been the starting quarterback and has led the Steelers to three Super Bowls, while winning two.
Kickoff for Steelers-Ravens is set for 1 p.m. ET.
