Shortly following his latest visit to the University of Georgia, five-star quarterback recruit Arch Manning has scheduled another notable trip.
According to multiple reports, the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2023 class will be visiting Alabama at the beginning of April.
The Crimson Tide are believed to be a top contender for Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli. Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU, Texas and Florida, among other schools, are also reportedly in contention to land the quarterback.
247Sports had more on his visit:
Five-star quarterback Arch Manning, the No. 1 prospect in the 2023 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, will return to Alabama the first weekend of April, New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman head coach Nelson Stewart told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong.
It will mark the elite signal caller’s third visit to the Capstone after a trip last summer and then a return visit for the Alabama-Ole Miss game during the season. Manning has been to Georiga so far this month and will be at Texas on Thursday.
Arch Manning took several notable visits last fall and he’s back on his recruiting trips this spring.
Alabama and Georgia are seen by many as the two favorites.
“THROW ALL THE NIL DOLLARS AT HIM NOW,” one Alabama Crimson Tide fan tweeted.
Others, though, see him landing at Texas.
“Texas bound, he not waiting 2-plus years at Alabama,” one fan tweeted following the latest recruiting news.
Georgia might be the true school to beat, though. The Bulldogs have been mentioned from the start for the nephew of the former NFL stars.
Arch Manning is very likely going to be a Georgia Bulldog, and I’m going to need y’all to wrap your head around that. #GoDawgs
