Arch Manning Rumors: Peyton Manning Comments On Recruitment

August 15, 2021 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Peyton Manning and his nephew, Arch Manning.

The recruitment of Arch Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, continues to fascinate the college football world.

Arch Manning, a five-star quarterback in the 2023 class, is the No. 1 player at his position, per 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He’s received scholarship offers from several major programs across the country. The list is sure to grow in the months to come, too.

Peyton Manning was recently asked about the recruitment of his nephew. The Hall of Famer’s alma mater, Tennessee, is one of the schools trying to get in the mix.

The recent Canton, Ohio inductee didn’t have much to say about his nephew’s recruitment, though.

“No inside information on that,” Manning said on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take. “I’m his uncle, I’m his Godfather, so I’m trying to fulfill that role. I hope he has a fun high school experience.”

Texas has been the school mentioned the most for Arch Manning, though it’s still pretty early.

“I think they hit a home run, I think they are squarely in the mix for Arch Manning,” Josh Pate said of Texas, via 247Sports. “But eventually, they’re going to have to have something tangible. Because there’s going to be too much tangible result to be seen from Alabama and the likes of Clemson. Texas has got to get it done. They have to show you something in weeks one and two because if you are to come out of summer on this massive recruiting hype wave and then you start to show product on the field earlier than anyone expected, that starts a snowball effect. That’s how you really start to take off in recruiting even in year one under a new staff and that’s how incredible things can happen.”
