Fans from around the college football world took to Twitter to react to this news.
“Fantastic that a blue collar family like the Mannings finally get something to go their way,” one fan wrote sarcastically.
“Manning may make the most, but the real ‘biggest winner’ is a kid who can now make some money to help their family that needs it,” another added.
“High school students gonna be making more money than teachers & principles lol,” another said.

Manning, one of the most highly-touted and publicized recruits in recent memory, is currently a junior at Isidore Newman in New Orleans. The nephew of former NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning has received offers from nearly every top-tier program in the nation and will no doubt net massive NIL deals once he makes his long-awaited decision.
According to On3, Manning’s current NIL valuation sits at a whopping $1.6 million. There are only two other high school athletes with a valuation of more than $1 million: rising basketball superstars Bronny James and Mikey Williams. Manning currently ranks No. 5 on On3’s NIL 100, sitting only behind James, Williams, Shareef O’Neal and Bryce Young.
Manning is currently weighing college options between his top-four schools: Texas, Georgia, Ole Miss and Alabama. It’s unclear if this NIL rule change will accelerate his final decision.
It will certainly be interesting to see what kind of deals Manning can land as he heads into his senior season with Isidore Newman.
