Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce looks to be doing well after an injury scare on Saturday evening.
Kelce came up with a first down as Kansas City was running out the clock, but immediately went off the field to be looked at by trainers.
When head coach Andy Reid was asked about this in his postgame presser, he downplayed the injury and said Kelce was “alright.”
Kelce finished with 34 yards and a touchdown on four receptions before exiting the game. For the regular season, Kelce will finish with 1,125 yards and nine touchdowns on 92 receptions.
This will be Kelce’s sixth season of having 1,000+ receiving yards as he continues to arguably be the best tight end in football.
The Chiefs are waiting to see if they’ll get the top seed and a first-round bye for the playoffs after a 28-24 win over the Broncos. They need the Texans to upset the Titans for the AFC to go through Arrowhead.
If the AFC does go through Arrowhead again, Kansas City will have a great opportunity to get to its third straight Super Bowl.
