Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is happy for Tyreek Hill, despite the fact that he won’t coach him anymore.
Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday after contract talks between the two sides came to a standstill. Hill is going to get a little over $70M guaranteed the next four years with the Dolphins.
Kansas City got back three of Miami’s first four picks in this year’s NFL Draft, plus two more picks in next year’s draft.
Reid also said that this move will benefit the Chiefs, especially since they now have more cap room.
“I am happy for Tyreek, he has grown as a man and player here in Kansas City,” Reid said. “This move will also benefit the Chiefs, we now have cap space and additional draft picks to grow as a football team. I wish him well as he moves forward.’”

The Chiefs will now look towards the draft or free agency in terms of replacing Hill. This draft class is absolutely loaded with receivers so they should be able to find one pretty easily.
As for Hill, he now joins a Dolphins team that’s going to try and push for a playoff spot.
