On Monday night, former NFL quarterback Andrew Luck made a special guest appearance on ESPN’s broadcast prior to the start of the national championship game.
Sports fans were awfully excited to see Luck on TV once again, especially since the Alabama-Georgia game took place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
While he was on air with Joe Tessitore and Robert Griffin III, Luck was asked what he’s been up to since retiring from football. His answer will make a lot of fans smile.
“Full-time daddy duty,” Luck told Griffin. “It’s been a complete joy.”

Though it’s unfortunate Luck’s career was cut short due to injuries, it’s nice to see him enjoying his life.
ESPN’s Mina Kimes had a heartwarming reaction to Luck’s appearance on the national championship game broadcast, tweeting “This is dorky but seeing Andrew Luck smiling and thriving after walking away makes me really happy.”
Luck retired from the NFL following the 2018 season. He finished his career with 23,671 passing yards and 171 touchdown passes.
Some fans are hoping that Luck will make a return to the gridiron, but he seems very content with his current situation – and rightfully so.
