On Thursday afternoon, the Alabama football program learned one player appears to be on the way out.
Redshirt freshman Caden Clark reportedly decided to enter the transfer portal. According to a report from On3’s Matt Zenitz, the Alabama athletics staff removed Clark from the online roster last month.
His name, however, didn’t hit the portal until Thursday afternoon. The 2021 signee can now officially seek a new home after just a short stay in Tuscaloosa.

Clark isn’t the only tight end leaving the Crimson Tide program this offseason. Jahleel Billingsley also entered the portal after the national championship loss. He eventually transferred to Texas.
Clark, a 6-foot-4, 258-pound tight end, chose Alabama over Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State and many others coming out of high school as a four-star prospect.
Where will he land next?
