Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers made easy work of the injury-depleted San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
Green Bay blew out San Francisco, 34-17, on Thursday Night Football. Rodgers was sensational, throwing for 305 yards and four touchdowns, completing 25 of 31 passes.
Following the game, Rodgers had a cool message for 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. The San Francisco linebacker hasn’t been getting a ton of national accolades, but Rodgers thinks that’s a mistake. Green Bay’s quarterback had some serious praise for Warner following Thursday night’s game.
“I’m happy for you, man. I really mean that. Unfortunately, name recognition means too much, ain’t nobody better. There really isn’t. You’re the best. And everybody knows it. The film don’t lie. You should be All-Pro,” Rodgers told Warner following the game.

That had to have been a very cool moment for Warner.
Warner, meanwhile, is frustrated by his team’s recent play. He doesn’t care about the injuries.
“I don’t care what the situation is I told the guys after the game that we got to look ourselves in the mirror. It doesn’t matter who’s down, who’s on COVID. It’s a wild year, obviously there are a lot of injuries across the entire NFL. But with the guys that we have, I think that we still got a lot of great football players on this team, and I think we just got to get back to work. We’ll make sure that we’re competing at a high level come next game,” Warner said following the game.
The 49ers will have another chance at a win on Nov. 15 when they take on the Saints.
